Liturgy Recap Sunday, June 15

It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night. Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

Merciful God,
you pardon all who truly repent and turn to you.
We humbly confess our sins and ask your mercy.
We have not loved you with a pure heart,
nor have we loved our neighbor as ourselves.
We have not done justice,
loved kindness,
or walked humbly with you, our God.
Have mercy on us, O God,
in your loving-kindness.
In your great compassion,
cleanse us from our sin.
Create in us a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within us.
Do not cast us from your presence,
or take your Holy Spirit from us.
Restore to us the joy of your salvation
and sustain us with your bountiful Spirit
through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

A benediction Inspired by the words of the prophet Micah.

Almighty God,
What shall we bring into Your presence that may satisfy?
What will rightly pay homage?
What do You want from us?
Will these burnt offerings bring you honor?
These sacrifices before Your altar,
Swollen rivers of the finest oil,
Promises beyond all that we could ever fulfill.
And once again, you tell us, “No”
It seems so simple.
You ask us but to live justly,
and to love kindness,
to walk with You in all humility.
Lord, lead us the way.
May we walk beside You,
May we breathe Shalom,
May this indeed be a life that is good in your sight.
