Freedom Sunday is an invitation to learn about slavery and partner with International Justice Mission (IJM) to end it. We’ll use a portion of our service on September 22 to learn more about ending slavery, and how you can help send rescue children, women and men living in slavery.
IJM, one of Gateway’s Missions Partners, is a global organization with a plan to eliminate the slave trade everywhere.
Rescue Slaves: they find children and adults who are victims of violence, forced labor, or sex trafficking. IJM then supports local police in rescue operations and helps meet the victims’ urgent needs, like safe housing, food, medical care, counseling, and education.
They work with police to investigate, arrest and charge slave owners with crimes and make sure laws against slavery are enforced, making it legally and financially impossible for slave owners to stay in business.
Right now, innocent people are being beaten, abuse, raped, and enslaved. By becoming a Freedom Partner and committing to giving just $24 a month, you can take a stand to protect them.
From last-minute rescue to critical aftercare, your faithful support will defend children and families in need, no matter how long justice takes. With your help, rescue can come to those who need it most.
If you’d like to become a Freedom Partner, or wish to learn more, talk to Kate at church on Sunday or send her a quick email.
