Missional Communities.

Missional Communities are made up of several Gateway Groups organized around a shared mission. Each Missional Community serves its neighbors in order to create long-lasting change in the relationships, institutions, and overall conditions of our city, especially focusing upon those in greatest need.

Joppa.

Joppa builds relationships, provides survival supplies and helps with specific needs in the homeless community (people under bridges, camps and vehicles) Their mission is to: create a community of unconditional love, support and hope for the homeless, and to help get people off the streets in Polk County.

Freedom For Youth.

Freedom For Youth is a local non-profit in Des Moines that is on a mission to reach Iowa's lost and hurting youth with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our role is to unite and empower Christian communities to reach young people from kindergarten through 22-years-old with programs that help them stay in school, learn life skills, prepare for the workplace, and develop healthy relationships. Our programs include tutoring, after-school activities, meals, job training, and residential services for post-high school students; all centered on the message of Jesus Christ's saving grace.

Help provide loving support and build long-term relationships within the Sherman Hill Neighborhood by serving kids at Edmunds Elementary School and our neighbors and friends at the Oakridge Apartments.
