Psalms
The Psalms have been prayed, sung, wept, and shouted for three thousand years—by kings and exiles, by the faithful and the failing, by people who weren't sure God was listening and by people who were certain he was. From lament to praise, from raw anger to quiet trust, they hold the full range of what it means to be human. In this series, we'll ask what these ancient songs reveal about the character of God, and what they teach us about ourselves—creatures made for worship, capable of deep suffering, and always, somehow, being drawn back toward hope.
