We're asking for God to catalyze a fresh hunger for prayer in our hearts, our church, and our city.

When we consider Jesus' life and ministry, we see a man whose source of power, teaching, and vision all extend from a life in prayer.

Jesus desired, then and now, for His disciples to share in this deep life of prayer. He, therefore, called the church to prayer before he ascended to the right hand of the Father. As a result, prayer emerged as one of the defining features of the early church (Acts 2:42-47).

Paul likewise followed Jesus, calling the church to worship and prayer as the foundation of Christian ministry. (Ephesians 6:18-20, Colossians 4:2, 1 Timothy 2:1).

As we look through church history, we see a church that was at her best when she sought God in humble, desperate, and passionate prayer.

We desire to keep in step with Jesus. We want to pray. More so, we're asking for God to catalyze a fresh hunger for prayer in our hearts, our church, and our city.

We have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
— Colossians 1:9-14
